Doctrine of the Register
“Register what can be registered, not certify what cannot.”
From Geneva, the GAIGI foundation operates a probative register based on verifiable evidence, independently of regulators and industry.
GAIGI registers, issues, and brings in the States already present in Geneva.
The Geneva Register is the instrument of the GAIGI foundation. It registers AI systems on the basis of verifiable evidence, at three levels of scrutiny. It issues the Geneva Carnet, a probative document of international standing. Public opening on Wednesday, 23 June 2027, at the Trust House.
Three levels of evidence
Level G1
Attested training
Proof of competence through examination and portfolio. Named attestation issued after validation of the CAIGE track. Foundation of the Carnet.
Level G2
Evidence portfolio
Registration of an AI system on the basis of a documented file: governance, data, evaluations, controls. Peer review by the Register.
Level G3
Geneva Bridge
Cross-border regulatory interoperability based on evidence. A probative bridge to partner jurisdictions, without harmonisation.
The Geneva Carnet
The Geneva Carnet is the probative document issued by the Register. It records the evidence deposited, the levels reached (G1, G2, G3) and successive revisions.
Founding analogy. Like the ATA carnet (chambers of commerce) and the TIR carnet (IRU, Geneva, UNECE convention), the Geneva Carnet is issued by a non-state body and is designed to be recognised at border crossings. Argument in eight words: like a TIR carnet, but for AI compliance.
First Carnet issued on Thursday, 17 June 2027, at Afterwork 8, Hôtel Royal, ahead of the Summit. The Trust House only opens from Monday, 21 June, back-to-back with the AI for Good Global Summit.
Public opening
The Geneva Register opens to the public on Wednesday, 23 June 2027, at the Geneva AI Trust House (Hôtel Royal, Geneva), in the wake of the Geneva AI Summit on 21 and 22 June 2027.

Independence
The Geneva Register is operated by the GAIGI foundation, a Swiss foundation of public utility. It is independent of regulators, industry and national jurisdictions. It does not issue public approval. It registers, maintains and makes opposable the evidence deposited.
